Material Labour Form

The Material labour Form is the second process of creating your Quotation.

This is where you would enter all the required materials and labour hours to create your final quotation.

Start by clicking the new button to enter a new line item in the sub form or click on the edit  button to edit an existing line item in the sub form.

Enter the material quantity, you can either enter in a material description or click the arrow next to the material description box to see your commonly used material list you

can add to this list by clicking on the material guide button. see below for an explanation on both the material guide button and the add operations button.

After entering in your material quantity selecting or entering both your material description and operation you are ready to enter the labour hours.

You can then type your charge out rate in the Rate text box field or select the rate from the drop down box.

Desk Quote Professional will automatically multiply and calculate the quotation for you.

 

Material Guide Form

Below the new and edit buttons on the main Material labour form you will find the Material Guide and the Add Operations button.

These forms offer quick referencing and helps make the quotation process a lot easier.

In the Material Guide Form you can enter materials you normally use often.

After entering materials in this form , the material description you enter will appear in the main Materials labour Form,

You can  then select the commonly used material in the drop down box named Mat Description in the main Material labour form to

prevent having to continually type this specific material description.

 

Add Operation Form

The same applies to the Add Operations form as the Materials Guide Form

Enter operations you normally use  I.e.  For the construction industry  Plastering , Brick Work , Carpentry ect.

For the Manufacturing i.e. : Turning , machining , Welding ect 

After entering your Operations in this form , the operation you enter will appear in the main Materials labour Form.

You can then select the commonly used operation process in the drop down box named Operation in the main Material labour form to

prevent having to continually type this specific Operation.

 

 

Desk Quote Calculator

Although Desk Quote Professional automatically calculates your quotation it is useful at times to have a calculator present when producing quotations.

Desk Quote Professional offers a quick pop up calculator to make the quotation process that much easier.

Just click on the Calculator icon on the top right hand corner of the Main Material labour form to open the calculator.

 

After completing your quotation click on the Print button to continue printing your newly created quotation or click the email button to email your quotation.

Hover your mouse over the control buttons for a tool bar tip describing each button's function.
